Financial Information
Dear Friend,
At United Way of Snohomish County, our mission is to transform communities and improve lives. We work to meet people’s needs every day and to create long-lasting changes that prevent problems from happening in the first place.
Our vision is bold:
Donors, both corporate and individual, who share that vision account for the majority of financial support to United Way. Thanks to their generosity, United Way raised over $9 million in FY 2010-2011. Most significantly, nearly 65% of all donations were directed to United Way’s Local Community Fund–the fund that pays for grants to 90 local nonprofit programs and United Way-led initiatives focused on turning our bold vision into reality here in Snohomish County.
When we, as individuals, think outside ourselves, we have the power to facilitate change. When we think of others’ lives as linked to our own, our compassion grows. We build the strength of our neighborhoods. We bolster the health of our communities. And we change the lives of those who walk by us every day.
That’s what it means to LIVE UNITED.
LIVE UNITED is also a call to action. To GIVE. To ADVOCATE. To VOLUNTEER.
Our most recent annual report recognizes those who LIVE UNITED by being Leaders In Giving as well as those who find their voice or lend their muscle on behalf of others. It also shares the stories of people’s lives that are better because you give to United Way. Through your gift, you change not only a single life, but our whole community because when you reach out a hand to one, you influence the condition of all.
United, we stand. United, we can change what we see in the world.
United, we can inspire hope and create opportunities for a better life for all.
Thank you.
