for Days of Caring
July 9, 2007
Need volunteers? United Way’s Days of Caring need projects.
Nonprofit organizations should submit their projects now for
United Way’s annual Days of Caring, the largest volunteer event
in the county.
This year, Days of Caring is expanding to two days, Friday,
September 28 and Saturday, September 29 to complete more projects.
The addition of a Saturday also allows more volunteers and families to participate.
Nonprofit organizations, community/government organizations, neighborhood associations and schools are welcome to post projects
now through July 31. Volunteers and company teams may select projects July 16-Aug 13.
Last year, 1,000 volunteers took to the streets to paint, plant, build and complete other hands-on volunteer projects that were valued at over $120,000.
