United Way believes in maximizing the well-being of residents by promoting the strengths of neighborhoods, support systems, civic involvement, volunteerism, and diversity.
The Community Matters Vision Council is targeting areas like civic involvement, safety, and economic development to develop strategies to improve the way people connect with one another and get the support
they need. United Way’s Volunteer Center is a key resource for volunteer involvement in our community.
Together, the Community Matters Vision Council helped 72,511 people of all ages through grants to programs.
They live in Edmonds, Everett, Stanwood, Mountlake Terrace, Lynnwood, Lake Stevens and Darrington—every community and neighborhood.
They live next door.
United Way invested $1.46 million to decrease isolation, increase access to community resources, improve safety, reduce crime and provide victim support.
But that’s only one way United Way is using your contributions to make a lasting improvement in our community.
