United Way of Snohomish County’s annual Day of Caring is a community-wide event benefiting non-profit agencies in Snohomish County. Each year, Day of Caring brings together volunteers committed to creating positive change in the lives of children, families, and seniors.
This year we expanded
our effort over two days
(Friday & Saturday) in
an effort to assist
more non-profits
and include more
volunteer groups such as
neighborhoods, schools and those in the faith community.
Volunteer teams, organized primarily by local companies, completed projects for local non-profit agencies that often lacked the necessary resources to tackle such important initiatives themselves. Projects ranged from reading to children at child care sites and engaging them in outdoor activities to landscaping an elderly person’s front yard to sprucing up interiors at the YWCA.
This year, 1,014 volunteers donated their time and an abundance of caring power to complete Days of Caring projects.
