Evergreen Legacy Society

Evergreen Legacy SocietyDonors who give planned gifts to The Evergreen Legacy Society care enough about Snohomish County to make their personal giving last forever.

You can become a member by pledging a lasting gift of any size in your will, trust or estate plan to the Endowment Fund. You may also qualify for membership by naming the Endowment Fund as the beneficiary (or contingent beneficiary) on any
of your life insurance, IRA and/or 401K accounts.

In addition, gifts of $25,000 or more entitle donors to establish a fund in their family's name or the name of someone they wish to honor. This "donor named fund" will provide annual gifts in perpetuity to United Way of Snohomish County to support our mission or to specific 501(c)3 agencies designated by the donor.

The Endowment Fund keeps the original dollars invested; spending only earned income to fund specific priorities. This ensures United Way’s continued capacity to support health and human services during economic downturns or to fund special initiatives.

We recognize our Evergreen Legacy Society members in several ways:

  • Listing in our annual "Leaders in Giving" publication (or be anonymous)
  • Alexis de Tocqueville Society permanent membership, if bequest or gift exceeds $200,000
  • Evergreen Legacy Society memento of appreciation

If you have already included us in your will, please tell us, so that we may acknowledge and thank you. Announcing your gift can inspire others to give, but we will respect your preference for anonymity, if that is your wish. Please contact contact John J. Rivera Greene at 425.374.5504 for more information about bequests, and other gift choices.
