with Devereux Early Childhood
Assessment Program

United Way of Snohomish County: Tulalip Babies United Way helped to introduce the Devereux Early Childhood Assessment (DECA) Program to Snohomish County teachers and childcare professionals, providing them with a proven, nationally recognized tool to assess the social and emotional development of young children and identify those who are in most need of help.

United Way provides the DECA Program training and
support to professionals that
is producing exciting results—both at home and in the classroom. This tool is now being used at 75 sites, including 9 school districts, with more than 1,000 kids throughout our county.

One third of children assessed show significant improvement in skills critical to their success in school.

Success By 6® works in collaboration with Northwest Educational School District #189 (NWESD) to bring the DECA program to Snohomish, Whatcom, Skagit, San Juan and Island Counties.
