United Way is proud to partner with donors, local businesses, government and nonprofit organizations. These highly-committed partners volunteer on United Way councils, sponsor events or Campaign Executives, and run workplace campaigns. You’ll find information about each in this section.
You’ll also find help that United Way offers to companies, such as
seminars and other help specifically for employees. Of course, community
resources such as 2-1-1, The Parent Place and Born Learning benefit everyone.
That’s the essence of community. Together we can get results that
no one can accomplish alone.
Success Stories
Five years ago giving back was a foreign concept to Alissa. A typical teenager, she spent the majority of her time on the computer or on the phone with friends. She was more interested in being cool at high school than learning about her community. While exercising at her local YMCA she read a notice board announcing a Y-Teen Night and decided to attend. That experience, Alissa says, “changed my life.”
