Roger Bouck Award for Volunteerism in Action
United Way of Snohomish County is proud to honor the life and legacy of Roger Bouck by presenting this award at our annual Volunteer Appreciation Night at the Aquasox. Roger was a tireless volunteer whose efforts helped build a culture of volunteerism in Snohomish County. He dedicated many years of his life to a wide variety of organizations which use and promote volunteers. Nine years ago, Roger initiated the first Volunteer EXPO. He started the RotaCare Free Medical Clinic in Lake City, launched a partnership with World Vision for the collection of school supplies, partnered with Volunteers of America to double their office space and even organized a work group to build a 110-ft. bridge so families could reach a local church camp. And he received the Governor’s Award for Excellence as a Volunteer in recognition of his work.
This award will recognize an individual or organization that embodies Roger’s spirit and enthusiasm for making Snohomish County a better place.
We are seeking nominations for an individual or organization in Snohomish County that:
- Demonstrates visible support for volunteerism during the award year
