Looking at Angel now, it’s hard to imagine her at 16—living on the street and using drugs.

Angel is lucky. She ended up at a teen shelter funded by United Way.

Now Angel is a wife, a mother and works at Cocoon House. She’s strict. But the kids there know she believes in them.
