At United Way of Snohomish County, our mission is to transform lives by bringing people, resources and strategy together to solve our community’s toughest challenges.
Our vision is a community where opportunity is not limited by poverty.
Donors, both corporate and individual, who share that vision account for the majority of financial support to United Way. Thanks to their generosity, United Way raised approximately $11.53 million in FY 2014-2015, including more than $2.7 million toward our Disaster Recovery Fund for Mudslide Relief. United Way’s Local Community Fund pays for grants to local nonprofit programs and United Way-led initiatives focused on turning our bold vision into reality here in Snohomish County.
United Way is partnering with the community in new ways to help rewrite the story for individuals and families today and build a solid foundation for their future success. We believe the power of community can help individuals and families find pathways out of poverty, but the only way we can accomplish this is by working together with common goals.
While there are no quick fixes to break the cycle of poverty, by bringing people, resources and strategy together, we can dramatically reduce the impact of poverty in Snohomish County.
Through your gift to United Way you change not only a single life, but our whole community because when you reach out a hand to one, you influence the condition of all.
United, we stand. United, we can change what we see in the world.
United, we can inspire hope and create opportunities for a better life for all.
