United Way has multiple volunteer committees to ensure diversity of expertise and perspectives lead and drive decisions to improve people’s lives in Snohomish County. Serving on one of our committees adds community voices to the table to help lead the way toward the best outcomes for families. The audit committee is tasked with evaluating outcomes of the auditing firm responsible for United Way’s annual audit. The Audit Committee regularly meets with United Way’s officers and external auditors, as necessary.

The CORE Engagement Committee works on shifting perceptions from being known as only a fundraiser to being a partner, convener, innovator, and collaborator, broad-based engagement across sectors is critical to its success. In addition to working on engagement strategies and programming direction, committee members will assist in elevating United Way’s presence in the community by connecting UWSC staff members to thought leaders and relevant organizations. The CORE Impact Committee is responsible for developing strategy, informing plans, and making recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding the CORE impact work. This includes helping United Way achieve impact goals through making strategic investments, deciding upon appropriate direct services, and advocating in the community on behalf of the organization.
