As another school year ends, we’re all smiles—literally! United Way of Snohomish County is proud to celebrate another fantastic year of partnership with Best Dental Help, a mobile dental clinic bringing care and confidence to kids across our community.
Our partnership began in Darrington through the North Counties Community Collaborative (formerly a CORE Collaborative) and has since grown into a county-wide effort to make dental care more accessible. And the impact? Huge!
Before the big dental van rolls in, the Best Dental Help team is in classrooms, talking about teeth, sharing tips, tools, and laughs to make sure every child understands how to care for their smile. Even students who aren’t seen in the clinic walk away with the knowledge and confidence they can take home.
This year, more than 4,000 students in Snohomish County received essential dental education through Best Dental Help’s school visits. That also includes 965 screenings, 733 cleanings, and a whopping 1,793 protective sealants placed to help prevent cavities before they start.
And it doesn’t stop there.
In the spring, preschoolers get in on the action too—receiving fluoride treatments and take-home kits packed with toothbrushes, floss, and other dental essentials. These small items make a big difference for families who may not always have access to them.
United Way is proud to support this vital work by helping cover the cost of care for uninsured children. Because for us, it’s about more than teeth—it’s about equity, dignity, and giving every child the chance to grow smiling.
Thank you to Best Dental Help for another amazing year. We can’t wait to see even more healthy, happy smiles next year!
