Communities across Washington continue to cope with the effects of recent flooding and severe storms, with additional hazardous weather expected this week. Families have been displaced, access to services disrupted, and recovery efforts continue in many parts of the state.

Evacuation Shelter Open at Fairgrounds
An American Red Cross Evacuation Shelter is open 24/7 at the Evergreen State Fair Park in the 4-H Building: 14405 179th Ave SE, Monroe, WA 98272.

There is no cost for shelter. All are welcome. Household pets are accepted but must remain crated or caged. Shelter guests are responsible for pets at all times.

- Amazon Donates $1 Million to United Ways of the Pacific Northwest for Disaster Relief
United Ways of the Pacific Northwest works in partnership with local United Way organizations in impacted communities across the region. All donations to UWPNW's Disaster Recovery Fund will be used to help provide displaced families with access to food, shelter, childcare, health care and other critical services. This fund will help families meet their emergent and long-term recovery needs. Read more!
United Ways of the Pacific Northwest distributes funds to local United Ways in areas impacted by disaster, based on a formula developed that includes damage, population and economic/racial equity as components.
